Under .500

Uh oh. The Reds are currently 34-35 and 4 1/2 games back of the Cardinals. Last night's game was a good news bad news contest.

Good News: Joey Votto came clean as to why he was mysteriously out with "Stress related issues" for the better part of the past month. His father's death last August was put on the back burner for Votto. It hit him hard in the off season and when he went out with an inner ear infection in May it hit him extremely hard. So no he isn't gay and no he doesn't have some sort of diesease.

Bad News: Micah Owings got shelled for six runs by the Blue Jays and the Reds bats were shut down by some dude with a porno stache.

Good News: Apperantly Votto is Jay Bruce's "mentor" and Bruce responded with a bases loaded double that scored the Reds first two runs.

Bad News: Being down 6-0 is a deficit practically impossible for the 2009 Reds to come back from. And after tacking on a couple meaningless runs off the Jays bullpen, the Reds lose 7-5.

More Bad News: Today is the one year aniversary of Bronson Arroyo's 1 plus ining 11 run schlacking the Blue Jays put on him last year, good enough for the single worst pitching performace in the last 100 years.

Even More Bad News: Guess who is on the mound for the Reds today? Mr. JTM himself. Gulp

Bottom of the 4th

Starting to feel like another night of silent bats for the Reds. Why can't they every sneak one by with a runner on third?

Lyle Overbay files out to start the inning. Micha Owings needs a quick inning, the pitch count is rising quickly

Rod Barajas quickly makes it 4-0 wow that was crushed

Reds vs Blue Jays 6/23

Top of 4

After a great Jerry Hariston bunt hit to lead off the inning, Joey Votto slaps a single to left for his first hit since May.

2 on no out and Mr. double play Brandon Phillips lives up to his name... now Hariston is on 3rd with 2 outs

Johnny Gomes draws a 3-2 walk and now its 1st and 3rd. Can the Reds actually get a clutch hit?

..........nope Ramon Hernadez pops up to end the inning still 3 zip Jays
